Symphony 9 School is a growing music and arts school in Lake Forest, CA, and we're looking for passionate, dependable music teachers to join our team.

We are especially interested in teachers who want to build a consistent student schedule, grow professionally, and become part of a collaborative music education team.

 

🎼 Teaching Opportunities

We are currently seeking teachers for instruments including:

  • Piano

  • Violin / Viola

  • Guitar / Ukulele

  • Voice

  • Drums

  • Woodwinds

  • Cello

 

Competitive Pay:

Your pay level is based on your experience, qualifications, teaching ability, and level of responsibility.

 

Substitute Teacher

  • Flexible, on-call teaching

  • Emergency and temporary lesson coverage

  • No regular student load required

 

Junior Teacher

  • Beginner-level private lessons

  • Assist with group classes

  • Teach music theory

  • Help track student progress

  • Availability: 2+ days/week, 2+ teaching hours/day

 

Associate Teacher

  • Private lessons

  • Music theory instruction

  • Ensemble assistance

  • Student scheduling and makeup coordination

  • Availability: 2+ days/week, 3+ teaching hours/day

 

Professional Teacher

  • Established private teaching

  • Lead ensemble/group classes

  • Student progress tracking

  • Support substitute coverage and scheduling

  • Greater involvement in studio programs

  • Availability: 3+ days/week, 3+ teaching hours/day

 

Senior Teacher / Instrument Head

  • Lead an instrument department

  • Mentor and support other teachers

  • Lead group classes and ensembles

  • Participate in recitals and major studio events

  • Help develop curriculum and teacher KPIs

  • Collaborate with other instrument heads

  • Availability: 4+ days/week, 3+ teaching hours/day

  • Comfortable teaching children and/or adults

  • Able to communicate effectively with parents and the school team

  • Interested in helping students reach meaningful musical goals

  • Willing to participate in recitals, group programs, and studio activities as appropriate

 

Formal degrees, certifications, and examination experience are valued. Depending on the instrument and teaching level, qualifications may include a Bachelor's degree in music or equivalent training, ABRSM/RCM or other recognized examination experience, or demonstrated professional teaching experience.
