Woodwind Lessons
Private and Group Lessons from 7 and Up
Discover the joy of playing woodwind instruments at Symphony 9 School of Music and Arts! We offer expert Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, and Saxophone Lessons for students of all levels. Our caring and patient woodwind teachers generally encourage students to begin around age 7 and up to ensure they have the adequate hand size, tooth development, and lung capacity required for these instruments. For younger students, we recommend starting with the recorder to build a strong foundation in similar techniques and breath control.
Our woodwinds program serves everyone from beginners to advanced students, including hobbyists and those preparing for ABRSM and RCM exams, orchestra auditions, or competitions. Our curriculum covers a wide range of genres, from Classical and Film scores to Pop and Jazz!

Whether you are a beginner exploring a new hobby or an advanced student preparing for auditions, our experienced team is here to help you reach your goals. For students generally aged 7 and up, we focus on developing the necessary hand dexterity, embouchure stability, and diaphragmatic breath support required for success.
We are proud to serve as an official ABRSM testing center and provide comprehensive preparation for both ABRSM and RCM examinations. For your convenience, we also carry the required method books and materials on-site.
