Policy
Tuition & Payment Policy

Monthly Invoices are sent on the 20th of the previous month, and must be paid by the 27th.

Single Lesson Invoices must be paid 48 hours before lesson time.

Accepted payment methods:

Automatic Credit Card Payments (via authorization form)

Check or Cash (exact amount only, in person)

A late fee applies to all late payments (including declined cards).

A fee applies to declined cards or bounced checks.

Lesson spots are forfeited if payment is not received by the end of the month
Tuition Notes

Tuition is non-refundable, non-prorated, and not reduced for:

Scheduled studio closures

Student absences, illness, vacations

Schedule changes

Tuition changes may occur when the studio is notified in writing by the 25th (text or email). If agreement cannot be reached, the contract ends at the end of the paid month.
Lesson Change

Symphony 9 School is committed to respecting both our students’ learning continuity and our teachers’ professional schedules.

Requests must be made 48 hours in advance via text (949-614-0556) or email (Admin@Symphony9School.com).

Studio will try to accommodate but availability is not guaranteed.
-
Payment is unaffected by schedule changes.
Length/Type Changes

Changes to lesson type or duration begin the following month only.

Written request must be submitted to the Studio in advance.

Single Lesson Plan:

Lessons will be need to be scheduled week-to-week based on availability

No guaranteed time slot

No makeups or rescheduling

Must be prepaid at least 48 hours before lesson start and no more than one week ahead

There will be aconvenience fee to switch to either plan.
Termination of Lessons

Either party may terminate before the 25th of the month by written notice (email or text).

Once Client terminates lesson all makeups are forfeit. All makeups have to be done before the last registered lessons.

If proper notice is not given, one month’s tuition will still be charged.
Makeup Lesson Policy
-
48-hour notice (via email or text) is required for a lesson to qualify for a makeup.
-
In circumstances where a student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson on the day of instruction, Symphony 9 School may, offer a recorded lesson or instructional video prepared by the assigned teacher to support the student’s practice on current repertoire and upcoming lesson material.

Sick day exceptions must be reported 2 hours before lesson time.
-
Medical emergencies will be rescheduled appropriately. (If the studio is NOT notified about sickness before scheduled lesson time and client did not show up, the lesson will be a NO SHOW and NOT be eligible for makeup)
Scheduled Breaks (Tuition Unaffected)

Breaks are averaged into tuition. No regular lessons during:

Spring Break – April

Summer Break – July
-
Thanksgiving Break – November
-
Winter Break – December
-
(Camps may be offered during breaks for an extra charge.)
Extended Breaks & Re-enrollment

Clients must notify the Studio before the 25th of the month for any breaks.
-
Lesson slots will be lost after 2 weeks of missed lessons.
-
Client may continue monthly payment to preserve their slots, and do makeups upon return.
-
Client may need to pay a higher lesson price for a break of 1 month or more. They will be notified by the Studio prior to charging date.
Instructor Absence

In case of teacher absence, Studio will:

Provide a substitute if available
-
Reschedule the lesson otherwise
-
-
Clients will be notified if time/date must change.
-
Missed lessons due to instructor absence are made up, not credited or refunded.
Student Practice & Progress
-
Student success relies on:
-
A well-matched, professional teacher (provided by Studio)
-
Parental involvement and communication
-
Consistent (quality) home practice
-
-
Studio cannot guarantee results without regular practice and parental support.
-
Studio focuses on individual growth rather than comparing with peers.
-
Teacher-parent discussions should occur during scheduled lesson time only.
-
Clients must request in advance to speak with teachers or owners.
Communication Outside of Lesson Time
-
Questions related to lessons, assignments, or student progress outside of scheduled lesson time should be directed to Teacher@Symphony9School.com

The Studio will relay questions to the appropriate teacher and respond via email.
-
Direct conversations with teachers should take place during the student’s scheduled lesson time.
-
If a parent is unable to attend a lesson in person, students may bring a recording device to record relevant portions of the lesson for later review.
Timeliness
-
Students arriving 10+ minutes late will forfeit the lesson.
-
The lesson will not be eligible for a makeup.
-
Scheduled lessons will start and finish within the client's scheduled lesson time
Safety Policy

Students must be picked up promptly after lessons.
-
Unattended children must wait in the lounge area.
-
Studio is not responsible for unsupervised children outside of lesson time.
-
No food/sugar drinks beyond the lobby.
-
No running inside the studio. Injuries from unsafe behavior are the Client’s responsibility.
Photo & Video Consent
-
Studio is authorized to take and use photos/videos of students for advertising purposes.
Dismissal Policy
The policies and regulations of Symphony 9 School are established to ensure consistency, respect, and a positive learning environment for all students and staff. The Studio reserves the right to dismiss any student's enrollment or recital participation at its discretion for any of the following reasons:

Demonstrated lack of interest or sustained lack of progress for at least a month

Frequent absences, including more than three consecutive missed lessons
-
Repeated tardiness to lessons or classes more than two times a month
-
Disruptive, disrespectful, or unprofessional behavior from either the student or parent, including toward faculty, staff, or other students
-
Unreasonable parent requests determined by the Studio: (Examples include, but are not limited to: entering a competition before a teacher considers the student ready. Entering a competition that the Studio does not want to participate. Skipping levels when teacher considers inappropriate)

Failure to comply with Studio policies and procedures

Delinquency in payment of tuition or fees
In such cases, the Studio will notify the Client in writing. Any remaining tuition or fees owed at the time of dismissal will be due immediately, and all remaining lessons may be forfeited without refund
